Our Team

The talented people in our extensive research team bring a wide range of research leadership, expertise and skills to Mobilising for Action including:

Some of our researchers have been engaged in biosecurity social research for many years, while others in our team new to kauri dieback and myrtle rust bring new perspectives that may not yet have been considered. 

We embrace postgraduate researchers in the team by offering funded Masters research opportunities, and summer internships for small scale projects within the larger research projects. Additionally, we support early career researchers and encourage the employment of postgraduate students as research assistants.

Mobilising for Action’s research supports, engages and empowers communities, many of which are partners with project researchers to form a wider community of interest.

 

Our Co-leads

Mobilising for Action is co-led by Dr Marie McEntee, a social scientist from the School of Environment, and Dr Mark Harvey, a performance and live artist from the Faculty of Creative Arts and Industries both at the University of Auckland | Waipapa Taumata Rau.

 

Our Researchers

Our team of research specialists draws from a wide pool of national and international institutions with experience in theoretical and applied social research and qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. It includes a diverse range of applied practitioners with experience in community projects and collaborations and we embrace postgraduates and early career researchers.
